Jean A. Hall, age 83 of Washington, died Saturday November 10, 2012, at the United Presbyterian Home in Washington. The daughter of Earl and Wanda (Murphy) Wood, she was born December 2, 1928 at Canton, Illinois. On May 24, 1947 she married Harold Hall; he died April 5, 2006. She was a graduate of Ainsworth High School. She was a member of the Ainsworth Community Church and volunteered at the Ainsworth American Legion. She enjoyed bowling, fishing, playing cards and was an avid Chicago Cubs fan. She was a homemaker and waitress.

Survivors include: five sons; Charles “Eddie” Hall of Ainsworth; Michael Hall of Columbus Junction; Kim Hall of Ainsworth; Kevin Hall of Ainsworth; Bruce Hall of Crawfordsville; eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; five sisters; Joan Sueppel, Nancy White and Mary Putman all of Washington; Jeanette Bergman of Sauk City, WI; Jane Johnson; three brothers; Jim Wood, Tim Wood, and Mike Wood all of Washington.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, and one brother, Frank.

The funeral service will be Thursday, November 15, 2012, at 10:30 a.m. at the Ainsworth Community Church with Rev. Kitch Shatzer officiating. Interment will follow in the Oregon Township Cemetery in Ainsworth.

Visitation will be held Wednesday from 4-7:00 p.m. at the Ainsworth Community Church, where the family will receive friends. Memorials have been established for the Ainsworth Opera House and the Ainsworth American Legion.
