H. Elaine Dicks, 84, of Muscatine, formerly Columbus Junction, Iowa, passed away on Sunday, November 11, 2012, at Mercy Hospital in Iowa City. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Thursday, November 15, 2012, at the Stacy Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Rev Mike Bales will officiate the service. Burial will be in the Columbus City Cemetery. Following the interment, a time of food and fellowship will be held at the Allen Wright Hanft American Legion Post #100. Visitation will be held on Thursday, November 15, 2012 from 10:00 –11:00 a.m. at the funeral home. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Elaine’s name. Hildred Elaine Linville was born on June 20, 1928 in Barnes City, Iowa, the daughter of Willard G. and Millie M. (Sanders) Linville. On November 6, 1949 she was united in marriage to M. Eugene Dicks in Sigourney, Iowa. She had been a member of the Columbus Junction United Methodist Church, Royal Neighbors of America, the Mary Circle and the Old Clifton Club. She enjoyed spending time with her children and grandchildren.

Elaine will be deeply missed by two sons, Barry Dicks and his wife, Lorri of Muscatine, and Gary Dicks and his wife, Carol of Des Moines; one daughter, Barbara McKillip and her husband, Steve of Muscatine; and six grandchildren, Kristi Dicks, Mandy Cole and husband, David, Ben Dicks, Tim McKillip, Sarah McKillip and special friend, Miguel, and Matthew Dicks.

Elaine was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Eugene; one sister, Mildred; and three brothers, Loren, Orville and Lewis.
