Hazel Lenore GREEN, age 86, of Wapello, died Wednesday morning, March 22, 1995 at the Wapello Nursing and Care Center. The daughter of Ed and Rose JONES LOPER, she was born September 26, 1908 at Burlington. She married Raymond L GREEN on May 12, 1933 at Macomb, IL.

She had attended the Huron and Sperry schools and graduated from Mediapolis High School in 1927. She had worked at Benteco grocery store in Mediapolis and also worked for 18 years at Stella's Smart Shop in Wapello.

She is survived by her husband, a sister, Gerry DORAN of Mediapolis, and several nieces and nephews including Dolores VAN TINE of Billings, MT who was raised as a sister to her and also nephews including Lyle COOK, of Wapello. She was preceded in death by her parents and two sisters, Frances and Gladys.

Funeral was held March 24, 1995 at Dudgeon McCulley Funeral Home with Rev John LING officiating. Bev PARSONS was the organist. Pallbearers were: Fred BROWN, Lyle COOK, Burt MATTHEWS, Jeffrey DORAN, Burt ALLWORTH and Brock ALLWORTH.
