Oliver Rees, 62, Dies

COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Oliver Rees, 62, died at 2:30 a.m. today at his farm home southwest of Columbus Junction.

The body is at the Stacy Funeral Home pending arrangements for the final rites.

Mr. Rees was born April 13, 1897, a son of Rowland and Margaret Humphrey Rees. He was married to Ruth Beauchamp who is among his survivors.

Other survivors include two daughters: Mrs. Ila Davis and Mrs. Betty Gipple, both of Columbus Junction; three grandchildren; six brothers: John, Henry, Evan and Howell of Columbus Junction, Edward of Crawfordsville and William of Chicago; and three sisters: Mrs. Robert Roberts, and Mrs. John Winga of Washington, and Mrs. Margaret Thomas of Chicago.

To Hold Oliver Rees Funeral On Saturday

- COLUMBUS JUNCTION - Funeral services for Oliver Rees, 62, will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday in the Salem Presbyterian Church five miles southwest of Columbus Junction with the Rev. James S. Rila in charge. Burial will be in the Cambrian Cemetery.

Mr. Rees, a farmer for many years in the Columbus Junction community, died Thursday, July 23, 1959.

The body will be taken from the Stacy Funeral Home in the Junction Friday evening and placed in the Rees family home about five miles southwest of Columbus Junction.
