Robert (Bob) Pontzius

Bob passed away at 2:30 a.m. on April 28, 2012 in Phoenix, Arizona.

Bob was the son of Art and Mabel Yotter Pontzius. He graduated from Wapello High School in 1967 and then entered the US Navy and spent four years in the Navy.

Bob married Linda Jackson in San Diego, California on July 20, 1970.

He is survived by his wife, Linda; sons, Robbie from San Diego and Danny from Chandler, Arizona; grandchildren, Morgan and Max, San Diego and Aleigh, Chandler; his mother, Wapello; a brother, Jim Pontzius, Quincy, Illinois; sisters Barbara Daugherty, Newton, Janet (Mike) Buffington, Wapello, Kay (Russ) Stephens, Wapello, and Carolyn (Mike) Giese, Muscatine; and many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Preceeding Bob in death were his father, Art, a brother-in-law, Brian, a niece, Michelle Pontzius, and his mother-in-law and father-in-law.

No funeral service was held but a Celebration of Life will be held in Chandler, May 5, 2012.
