JoEllen (Broshar) Cutkomp, 82, of Wethersfield, beloved wife of Arnold D. Cutkomp, passed away peacefully at her home Monday, September 3, 2012 with her family by her side.

Born October 9, 1929, and raised in Moravia, Iowa, JoEllen was the daughter of the late Paul and Icel (Hudgens) Broshar. She resided in Iowa until 1962, at which time she moved to Wethersfield, where JoEllen lived with her family for many years prior to moving back to Columbus Junction, Iowa, where she and Arnold lived for the last 20 years.

JoEllen was employed for many years with the Iowa Bureau of Investigations before leaving to raise her children and become a homemaker. Along with her husband, Arnold, JoEllen will be fondly remembered by her loving family, three sons and their spouses, Bruce and Mary Cutkomp, Mark and Nancy Cutkomp, all of Wethersfield, Barry and Virginia Cutkomp of Rocky Hill; ten adoring grandchildren, Vicky and John Griffin, Rebecca Cutkomp, Alyson Cutkomp, and Bruce Cutkomp Jr., Casey, Corey, Mark Jr., and Leiah Cutkomp, Aubree and Brett Cutkomp; one cherished great grandson, Nolan Griffin. In addition, she leaves a sister-in-law, Doris Broshar of Ankeny, IA; a brother-in-law and sister-in-law, Doran and Peggy Cutkomp of Clearwater, FL.

In addition to her parents, JoEllen was predeceased by a sister, Barbara Boeckelmann, and a brother, Ronald (Skip) Broshar. JoEllen’s funeral services will be private and at the convenience of the family and have been entrusted to the Farley-Sullivan Funeral Home, 34 Beaver Rd., Wethersfield, CT 06109.
