Bradley Bain Norman, age 59, of Bloomington, passed away August 29, 2012, while awaiting a heart/kidney transplant at St. Mary’s Hospital in Rochester. Born August 5, 1953, in Minneapolis.

Preceded in death by parents, Kenneth L. and Elizabeth A. Norman and mother-in-law, Pat Howell.

Deeply loved and missed by wife, Kathy Howell; sons, Paul and John Norman; sister, Priscilla (Larry) Pearson; father-in-law, Jim Howell; sister-in-law, Susan (Andy) Lent; brother-in-law, Tom (Tara) Howell; nieces and nephews, Joshua and Annalisa Pearson, Ann Lent, Taylor, Victoria, Madeleine and Cael Howell.

Lifelong resident of Bloomington and member of Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, Brad graduated from Jefferson High School in 1971 and from the University of Minnesota in 1975. He was the owner of Mrs. Stewart’s Bluing/Bradley Products.

Brad was a Renaissance man, ever learning and creating. He was a gifted writer, a multi-talented musician, a humorist with a quick wit and a “bon mot” for any occasion. He had a keen interest in photography and travel and was an Apple Computer devotee from day one!

Brad was a loving and generous father to sons, Paul and John. He was profoundly in love with and devoted to his wife, Kathy. Brad reveled in his friendship and repartee with sister, Priscilla. People were drawn to Brad’s gentle spirit and peaceful presence. He thoroughly enjoyed his many lifetime friendships and strong family bonds, especially with his cousins.

Brad’s life was celebrated at Oak Grove Presbyterian Church, 2200 W. Old Shakopee Road in Bloomington on Sunday, September 9th at 2:00 p.m. A reception followed afterwards. In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials to Oak Grove Music Fund, CaringBridge.org or Donate Life Minnesota.
