Oakville Sentinel, 26 June 1946 - Mrs. Wesley ROBERTSON, after an illness of nine years passed away at the ROSS nursing home in Morning Sun. She had suffered from asthma followed other complications. The body was brought to the W.D. CARTER funeral home where it remained yesterday afternoon.

The funeral services were held from the Presbyterian church in Oakville yesterday afternoon at 2 o'clock, the Rev. W. C. Sawtell being in charge of the services.

Mrs. Will SMITH and Mrs. John O'BRIEN sang "Have Thine Own Way" and "Shall We Meet Beyond The River" with Mr. Mason STRAWHACKER presiding at the piano.

Mrs. J.W. WILLIAMS and Mrs. Wilbur WILLIAMS were in charge of flowers.

The casket bearers were James SHULTZ, Jr. Champ PEALER, John WALSINGER, Herschel SWAILES, Bert BROWN, all grandchildren of the deceased.

Obituary:

Sarah E. ROBERTSON, daughter of David and Martha ORR OWENS was born April 18, 1884, a Morning Sun, Ia. and departed this life June 3rd, 1948 at Morning Sun, at the ripe old age of 82 yrs 1 month and 18 days.

She was united in marriage to William SCHULTZ on July 25th, 1887 and four children were born to this reunion(sic) namely Mrs. Nellie TRITES of Moran, Kansas; Clara O. SWAILS of Monmouth, IL; Ella W and John F of Burlington. Her husband passed away Nov 12, 1894.

On May 3, 1903, she married to Wesley ROBERTSON at Morning Sun. To this union was born one daughter Mary Octava who passed away Dec 3, 1904 at the age of 1 yr 1 mo. and 3 days. She leaves to mourn her departure, her aged husband, Wesley ROBERTSON, age 91 yrs old, four children, 20 grandchildren, 15 great grandchildren and one brother Samuel OWENS and many other relatives and friends who will long mourn her death.

Mrs. ROBERTSON was a member of the Presbyyterian church and an active member as long as her health would permit. She was a member of Rebecca Lodge and Women's Relief Corps.
