MRS. ANNIE LAIRD BURIED HERE.

Committal services for Mrs. Annie J. Laird were held Monday at Elmwood cemetery here with Rev. Floyd Bowerman, pastor of the First Presbyterian church in charge. Mrs. Laird, 83, died in Des moines on October 5.

A native of Morning Sun and widow of the late Dr. A. J. Laird, Mrs. Laird had lived with her husband at Ainsworth before moving to Des Moines. She was one of the early graduates of the Morning Sun high school graduating with the class of 1885.

The daughter of D. H.and Margery McConnel Morrison, Mrs. Laird was born in Morning Sun on May 10, 1868.

Surviving are a son, David Laird, Minneapolis, a daughter, Margaret Laird, Des Moines, a step-daughter, Mrs. Ella Duncan, Washington, and a brother, D. C. Morrison, Van Nuys, California. Mrs. C. A. Brown, Morning Sun, is a niece of Mrs. Laird.

Pallbearers for the services here were C. A. Brown, L. R. Pierce, J. C. Beck, P. J. Robertson and Bert Gregory.

Among those attending the services here were Mr. and Mrs. David Laird, Minneapolis, Miss Margaret Laird, Des Moines, and Mrs. Ella Duncan, Washington.
