FUNERAL SERVICE FOR WM. LEUTY

William Leuty, 64, son of Mr. and Mrs. Joseph Leuty, long time resident of Morning Sun, died at the State Hospital in Mt. Pleasant, August 30. Will worked for different farmers in this community for many years but for several years has been working in the vicinity of Washington.

Funeral services were held in the Cookes’ funeral home Saturday morning conducted by Rev. McBee of the Associate Reformed Presbyterian church in Washington. Committal services at the grave in Mt. Pleasant cemetery were by Rev. J. E. McElroy of this place.

Mr. Leuty is survived by two sisters; Mrs. Adeline Keller of Paradise, California; and Mrs. Jennie Van Siekle of Cedar Rapids and one brother, Charlie, Columbus Junction.

Attending the funeral from here besides Rev. J. E. McElroy were Mrs. Will Hedges, Mrs. J. C. Schofield, Mrs. Lois Honeyman, Mrs. Sam Baird, Walter Cornic and Verne Grim.
