Wesley Hall, one of the oldest and most esteemed residents of Louisa county, died at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Tom Willet, January 3, 1912.

He was born in Indiana December 11, 1820 and at the time of his death was 91 years and 23 days of age.

At the age of 9 years he removed from Indiana with his parents to Illinois, Bureau County. In 1840 he was united in marriage to Miss Elizabeth Jones a resident of the same county. To them five children were born, two of whom are living, William F. of Burkett, Neb. and Sidney E. of Stockville, Neb.

Sometime during the 40's, Mr. Hall with his family came to this county and has lived in this vicinity ever since. His first wife died in May 1854 and later he was united in marriage to Miss Nancy Buffington of Spring Run. She preceded him in death June 25 1902. To this union four children, three sons and one daughter were born, all of whom survive. A.T. of Sioux City, Iowa, J.A. and J.D. Hall, both prosperous farmers of Elm Grove Township, and Mrs. Lucy Willet of Columbus City Township. H is also survived by 25 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.

At an early age he joined the Evangelical Church and remained a faithful member until a few years ago he united with the M.E. Church of Columbus City.

Funeral services were held at the Columbus City M.E. Church Saturday afternoon, conducted by Rev. A.W. McBlain. Interment in the Columbus City Cemetery.
