Margaret R. “Maggie” Meeker, 70, of Conesville, died Sunday, November 13, 2011 at Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction.
Private memorial services will be held at a later date. Cremation rites have been accorded by the Family Care Services Life Transition Center in Muscatine. Memorials may be directed to Washington County Hospice in memory of Margaret. The Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services is caring for Margaret’s family. Margaret Rose Holcomb was born October 20, 1941, in Muscatine Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Lucille (Elliot) Holcomb. In 1963, Margaret was united in marriage to Charles Meeker at The Island Church. Margaret was a member of the Grace United Church of Christ. She enjoyed reading, and playing with her dog, Rosey.

Margaret will be dearly missed by her sister; Carol Holcomb of Conesville; her brother; Robert Elliot Holcomb and his wife Janice of Olympia, WA; nephew, Richard Cale and his wife Kathy of Norwalk WI; several nieces, nephews; and great-nieces and great-nephews.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents, her husband Charles; one sister, Mary and one niece Rachael.
