Grace M. Kasten

Grace M. Kasten, age 93, of Fredericktown, Ohio, died Sunday November 4, 2001 at the Knox Community Hospital in Mount Vernon. Grace was born July 21, 1908 in Wapello, Iowa to William Daniel Brauns and Katherine Wehmeyer Brauns and had spent most of her lifetime in the Fredericktown area. She was a member of the Fredericktown United Methodist Church where she was actice with the WSCS; Ann Hill Chapter Order of Eastern Star in Fredericktown, the Fredericktown Bridge Club, and was formerly a member of the Fredericktown Emergency Squad Auxiliary. She had also been a volunteer for the American Red Cross, the Knox Community Hospital and a 25 year volunteer for the Ohio Eastern Star Home in Mount Vernon. Grace was also a member of the Clinton Commandary Cauldron in Mount Vernon.

Surviving are her son Ed Kasten of Fredericktown. She was preceded in death by her husband Victor Kasten; 5 brothers and 5 sisters.

Ann Hill Chapter Order of Eastern Star will conduct memorial services Thursday at 6:30 PM at the Snyder Funeral Home in Fredericktown. Rev. Larry Draper will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home following the Easter Star services.
