Charles Patterson

Charles F. Patterson, 66, of Atalissa, Iowa, died Friday, Aug. 1, 2003, at Unity Hospital, Muscatine.

There is no visitation. Military rites will be 10 a.m. Saturday, at Muscatine Memorial Park Cemetery, by Muscatine VFW Post 1565.

He was born March 28, 1937, in Wapello, Iowa, to Wilbur Clayton and Florence Ellis Patterson.

He was a U.S. Army veteran who served Nov. 4, 1954, to Oct. 11, 1957.

Charles enjoyed gardening, fishing, doing yard work and spending time with family and friends.

Surviving are his daughter, Marla Conger, Muscatine; two grandchildren; sisters, Donna Smith, Hillsdale, Charlotte Fifield, Karen Diveny and Patsy Wellens, all of Muscatine, and Connie Yoke, Davenport; brothers, Phillip. Muscatine, Ronald, Davenport, and Eldon, Wapello, Iowa.
