Robert “Bob” Richardson, age 64, formerly of Letts and Wapello, died Tuesday June 28, 2011 at the Morning Sun Care Center. The son of Harry and Jeannie (Phillips) Richardson, he was born August 4, 1946 in Muscatine. On July 1, 1995 he married Carol Franklin at Grandview. He worked as a heavy equipment operator and truck driver. He served in the US Army from 1966-68.

Survivors include: his wife Carol Richardson of Grandview; three daughters; Pamela Gaiser of Muscatine; Barbara Richardson of Muscatine; Brenda Quigley of Washington, Indiana; three sons; Rick Richardson of Sherrard, Illinois; Jonathan Richardson of Muscatine; Tom Brase of Wapello; 14 grandchildren and one great granddaughter; one sister, Beth Richardson Foster of Winfield;

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters and one brother.

The funeral service will be Saturday July 2, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello, with the Rev. Beth Foster officiating; interment will follow at the Grandview Cemetery.

Friends may call on Friday from 2:00-8:00 p.m. at Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, where the family will greet friends from 6-8:00 p.m.

A general memorial has been established in his name.
