Mary Lucille Milder, 92, of Columbus Junction, passed away on Sunday, June 19, 2011, at the Lutheran Homes in Muscatine. Funeral services for Mary will be 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, June 23, 2011, at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Columbus Junction. Burial will be in the Conesville Cemetery. Casket bearers will be Andy Milder, Tony Milder, Michael Milder, Jeff Milder, Patrick Conway, Tony Penick and William Hyde. Following the committal services there will be a time of food and fellowship held at the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church. Visitation will be held on Wednesday, June 22nd, from 4:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction with a 7:00 p.m. prayer service. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in memory of Mary. Online condolences may be left to Mary’s family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Mary Lucille Frantz was born on September 26, 1918, in Hills, Iowa the daughter of Albert V. and Flora B. (Hall) Frantz. On October 14, 1937, Mary was united in marriage to Edward W. Milder in Hills, Iowa. Mary owned and operated the Columbus Bowl from 1970–1980. She was a member of the St. Joseph’s Catholic Church in Columbus Junction, the Senior Citizens Group and enjoyed playing cards, quilting, and craft, but most of all, Mary dearly loved to spend time with her family.

Mary will be dearly missed by her children, Donald E. Milder and his wife, Shirley of Columbus Junction, Dean E. Milder and his wife, Anita of Conesville, Joyce M. Conway and her husband, Dennis of Muscatine, Alan J. Milder and his wife, Linda of Columbus Junction, Rosemary T. Boyler and her husband, William of Davenport and Keith W. Milder and his wife, Lucinda of Columbus Junction; daughter-in-law, Regina A. Buckman and her husband, Fred of Columbus City; 19 grandchildren, 42 great-grandchildren and 7 great-great-grandchildren.

Mary was preceded in death by her parents, husband, one son, Richard J. Milder, one granddaughter, Tammy, three sisters and four brothers.
