Earl Miller

MARSHALLTOWN, Iowa - Earl T. Miller, 80, Marshalltown, died Saturday, Aug. 16, 2003, at the Iowa Veterans' Home, Marshalltown.

Graveside services are 9 a.m. Friday, Aug. 29, at the Wapello Cemetery, Wapello. His body was cremated.

There will be no visitation. The Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello, is handling the arrangements.

Mr. Miller was born Jan. 10, 1923, in Wever, the son of Edward H. and Lela M. Fowler Miller. He married Dorothy G. Lerdall June 13, 1946, in Boise, Idaho. She preceded him in death Nov. 22, 1972.

He graduated from Wapello High School and the Quincy Business College, Quincy, Ill.

He served in the U.S. Army during World War II.

He was a maintenance supervisor at HON Industries.

He was from a family of eight children, Floyd, Kenneth, Edward, Walter, Carl, Alice, Bertha, and himself.

Survivors include two daughters, Sharron Eckhardt of New Boston, Ill., and Leanne Hulan of San Antonio, Texas; two sons, Alan Miller of Keene, N.H., and Thomas Miller; six grandchildren, Lori Feyen, Mike Eckhardt, Julie Eckhardt, Mark Howard, Justin Miller, and Lindsay Miller; five great-grandchildren, Daniel Calloway, Jamie Feyen, Alexa Feyen, Stevie Kotecki, and Abbie Howard; and two great-great-grandchildren, Evan Calloway and Skyla Banks.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife; a daughter, Bonnie Goulet; and a great-grandson, Brandon Calloway.
