WAPELLO - William Sherman
Bailey, 86-year-old retired farmer
and life resident of Louisa county,
died at his home in Wapello March
1, at 5:55 p.m.

Bailey was born at Oakville on
May 24, 1866, the son of P. D.
and Deborah T. Waterhouse Bailey,
and was married to the late
Gertrude Dotson.

Surviving are a daughter, Mrs.
Dale Callahan, Wapello, and two
grandchildren. Three brothers and
three sisters died previously.

Last rites will be held at the
Dudgeon funeral home at 2 p.m.
Tuesday. The Rev. M. L. Blake,
pastor of First Presbyterian church
will officiate, and burial will be in
the Wapello cemetery.
