After an illness of eight weeks, Mrs. Mollie Wagner, wife of W.W. Wagner, died at her home near Letts, Louisa county, Ia., Thursday, Jan. 26, 1905. Mrs. Wagner is survived by her husband and two children, Fay, aged 16, and Mildred, aged 11. Mrs. Wagner was born in Louisa county in 1865, and at the time of her death was 39 years of age. All that was possible was done by her husband and kind friends to relieve her sufferings and to minister to her comfort during her illness, but the edict of God having gone forth, her spirit returned to its Creator. Mrs. Wagner was converted at an early period in life and joined the church of the United Brethren in Christ, at Letts, (Ia.) In the church she has lived a consistent member for 15 years, filling many positions of trust and responsibility in the service of the church, as Sunday school superintendant, as parsonage trustee, as delegate to the last two sessions of the Iowa conference of the U. B. church, and as a nominee for delegate to the general conference of 1905 to convene at Topeka, Kan., in May. She has been conspicuous in church work, and tireless in her efforts to promote the kingdom of God on earth. Being of a cheerful disposition, she spread sunshine wherever she went; she planted flowers instead of thorns; she ever saw the rainbow brighter above the tempest, and out of a spirit made beautiful by love's adorning, she breathed a benediction for the wounded race, and poured the notes of faith's triumphant symphony above the darkness and the discord, and he dread. Above sectarianism, in a narrow sense, broad spirited and tolerant in her views, she revealed in the practices of a sincere life the lofty outlook and profound obligation of a soul whose strength was the joy of God, and whose end was eternal blessedness. Her friendships were true and lasting; her devotion to her family was touching and beautiful. The closing days were days of perfect peace, and of joyous anticipation of a glorious immortality. Sweetly she gathered her loved ones about her and spoke the words of tender farewell, and when at last the angel whispered, "Come," the peace of God was on the face of clay.

Some little light that lingered from the spirit gone into the joy unspeakable, and full of glory. As one by one the dear ones pass into the ivory palaces of the Great King and the sad sweet good-byes are said.
