Verlee E. Cassabaum

Verlee E. Cassabaum, 91, of Columbus Junction, Iowa died Monday, June 30, 2003 at the Colonial Manor Care Center in Columbus Junction. Graveside services for her will be Thursday, July 3, 2003 at 2:00 p.m. at the Columbus City Cemetery. Rev. James Reinhard will officiate. Arrangements are in the care of the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction, Iowa. There will be no visitation. A memorial has been established at the funeral home.

She was born May 31, 1912 in Columbus Junction, Iowa the daughter of William Oscar and Alice (McRoberts) Cassabaum. She enjoyed sewing embroidery and being a homemaker. She was a member of the Columbus Community Free Methodist Church in Columbus City.

She us survived by her sister, Marilyn Reinhard and her husband, James of Greenville, Illinois; one brother-in-law, Thomas Holmes of Greenville, Il; 4 nephews; and 3 nieces. She was preceded in death by her parents; a brother David; and a sister Lillian.
