Vivian Roberts Shull, age 76, of Washington, Iowa formerly of rural Columbus Junction died Saturday, November 27, 2010 at the Washington County Hospital following a lengthy illness.

Celebration of life services was held 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, December 1, 2010 at the Jones Eden Funeral Home in Washington with Pastor Al Kruse officiating. Visitation was Wednesday at the Jones Eden Funeral Home with the family meeting with friends from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m.

Interment was in Elm Grove Cemetery in Washington, Iowa.

A general memorial was established.

Vivian was born June 26, 1934 in Iowa City, Iowa, the daughter of Ernest and Vivian Maxine (Banks) Lundquist. She attended school in the Douds, Iowa area. On October 23, 1950, Vivian was united in marriage to William Shull in Douds, Iowa.

Vivian lived in the Columbus Junction area since 1956 and moved to Washington in 2009. She was a homemaker and did extensive baking and canning. She was an avid gardener and loved flowers. Vivian enjoyed music and art.

She is survived by her sons Donald Shull of Columbus Junction and Wayne Shull of Columbus Junction; her sister Vera Rickert and husband Roy of Douds; brother Melvin Lundquist and wife Betty of Fairfield; brother Edwin Lundquist of Fairfield; brother Frank Lundquist and wife Sandy of Des Moines and half sister Jean King of Illinois.

Vivian was preceded in death by her parents, her husband in 1985 and an infant brother, Donald.
