Alana Joy KerrAlana Joy Kerr, 15, a lifetime resident of Riverside, CA passed away February 8, 2011. Alana, a sophomore at Norte Vista High School was killed on her way home when she was struck by a train only yards from where she lived. She is survived by her parents, David and Jennifer Kerr, a brother, Colin; grandparents, Merwin and Donna Kerr, Riverside; and great-grandmother Ruth Kerr of Wapello.
Alana was a volunteer at Riverside County Animal Shelter. She was an IB student and on the principal’s honor roll. She was a member of Harvest Christian Fellowship and College Club at Norte Vista. Her dream was to attend UCI in Irvine to study criminology.
A celebration of Life service was held Feb 19 at Harvest Christian Fellowship in Riverside.
