Dorothy Diane Pace, 66, of Columbus Junction, passed away on Wednesday, January 26, 2011 at the Washington County Hospital and Clinics. Visitation for Dorothy was held on Friday, January 28, 2011, from 4:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services in Columbus Junction. Per Dorothy’s wishes, her ashes will be scattered in the ocean at a later date. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in Dorothy’s name. Dorothy Diane Dilley was born on August 6, 1944 in Cleveland, Ohio; the daughter of LeRoy O. and Edna R. (Cady) Dilley. Dorothy attended Muscatine Community College receiving her Associates of Science and Associates of Arts degrees. On March 4, 1972, Dorothy was united in marriage to Lester G. Pace, Jr. in Las Vegas, Nevada. She was a homemaker. Dorothy was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Muscatine and enjoyed gardening and spending time with her family, especially the grandchildren.

Dorothy will be dearly missed by her husband, Lester of Columbus Junction; her children, Velvet R. Hall and her husband, Pat of Columbus Junction, Dawn E. Grace and her husband, Bill of Muscatine, Harold “Gene” Pace of Wapello, William Robert Pace and his wife, Jodi of Ephrata, PA, Lester G. Pace, III and his wife, Michelle of West Branch, June L. Engle and her husband, Dennis of San Diego, CA and Mary E. Ernst and her husband, Brian of South Dakota; 23 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren; brothers and sisters, Sue Hurlbut and her husband, Calvin of Fredonia, Rose Gunther and her husband, Ray of California, Pat Lawson and her husband, Dalton of Seattle, WA, Judy Arellano of Snoqualmie, WA, Michael Dilley of California and Donna Dilley and her husband, Anthony of Seattle, WA.

Dorothy was preceded in death by her parents, two brothers, Johnny and Marshall and one sister Carol DeVoe.
