Dale D. Drinkall, 83, of Muscatine, died on Saturday, October 10, 2009 at The Lutheran Homes. Graveside services for Dale will be Wednesday, October 14, 2009 at 11:00 A.M. at Greenwood Cemetery. Pastor Bruce Ursin of Wesley United Methodist Church will officiate the services. Visitation for Dale was held on Tuesday, October 13, 2009 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. A memorial fund has been established at the funeral home in memory of Dale. Dale D. Drinkall was born on April 27, 1926, in Louisa County, the son of Herman and Beulah (Owens) Drinkall. On June 16, 1950, he was united in marriage to Virginia TeStrake in Muscatine. He served in the Air Force during World War II. He was employed at Thatcher Plastics for 26 years, and in the mid 1970s, he became a licensed locksmith and opened 3-D Locksmith, retiring in 1995. Dale was a member of Wesley United Methodist Church. He loved woodworking and spending time with his grandchildren.

Dale will be deeply missed by his wife, Virginia of Muscatine; one son, Terry Drinkall and his wife, Joanne of Muscatine; two daughters, Sheryl Sanders and her husband, Gary of Greenville, TX, and Debra Giesler and her husband, Daniel of Muscatine; seven grandchildren, Melissa Jackson and her husband, Corey of Arlington TX, Tyler Bosley of Pratt, KS, Beth Ponto and her husband, Vince of Tuscon, AZ, Jenelle Sanders of Greenville, TX, Heather Allen and her husband, Josh of Harvey, IA, Brandon Drinkall of West Liberty, Anne Drinkall and her fiancé, Tyler Lamb of Ames; two step-grandchildren, Chad Giesler and Jerry Giesler of Cumby TX; one great-grandson, Zach Allen of Harvey, IA; two sisters, Isabelle Johnson and her husband, Howard of Ft. Worth, TX, and Lorene Richardson of Chandler, AZ.

He was preceded in death by his parents, two brothers, and one sister.
