Dorothy A. Williams, 82, of Farmington, IL formerly of Trivoli, passed away Tuesday, September 14, 2010 at 11:45 a.m. at the Farmington Country Manor, Farmington. She was born in Columbus Junction, Iowa on August 21, 1928, the daughter of Edward F. and Mary Agnes (Williams) Griffith.

She married John R. Williams on November 14, 1948 in Nashua, IA. He preceded her in death on February 8, 2004.

Surviving are four children; Linda (Steve) Skaggs of Trivoli, Bruce Williams of Texas, Craig (Marge) Williams of Chillicothe, and Bryan (Sandi) Williams of Gilson; eight grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and one sister, Elsie Smith of Columbus Junction, IA.

Also preceding her in death were her parents, two brothers, and two sisters. She retired from Fleming and Potter and was a member of the Trivoli United Methodist Church. Cremation rites have been accorded.

A Memorial Service was held on Saturday, September 18, 2010 at 11:00 a.m. at Anderson-Sedgwick Funeral Home, Farmington with Rev. Joy Schlesselman officiating.
