Margaret Elizabeth Quigley, Columbus Junction, Iowa, was called home to her Lord, July 3, 2010. Memorial services for Margaret Quigley will be held at a later date. The Stacy-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services of Columbus Junction is caring for Margaret’s family and her arrangements.

Margaret Elizabeth Williams was born on August 4, 1913 in Sholes, Nebraska to William Arthur and Jane Peters Williams. She attended school in Cotter, Iowa, graduating in 1931. She was united in marriage July 9, 1942 to William "Glenn" Quigley, who died in 1981. Margaret taught in Louisa County rural schools then earned her degree from Iowa Wesleyan College in 1970. She taught for the Columbus Community School District, retiring from teaching in 1982. She spent her later years sharing her time between her families in Iowa and California, where she was lovingly known as “Nain” (due to her proud Welsh heritage). During her last year, she resided at Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church and the Retired Teachers Association.

Margaret is survived by her son, Bill Quigley and wife Linda; her daughter, Ann Griffin and husband Mickey. Grandchildren: Keelyn (Greg) Kanz, Megan (Bret) Eubank; Sean (Maria), Patrick (Sara), and Michael (Katie) Griffin. Great-children: Calvin and Kyra Kanz, Brennan and Blaise Eubank and Brooke Griffin; cousins, nieces and nephews.

In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by four brothers, William Floyd, Richard Ervin, Howard, and Gerald.
