Harry Junior Jordan, age 87, of rural Morning Sun, died Sunday evening, July 11, 2010 at Washington County Hospital.

Harry was born October 9, 1922 at Scott Township, Winfield, the son of Harry Wesley and Alta B. Lauer Jordan. He graduated from Columbus Junction High School in 1941 and served in the Army during World War II. He was a lifelong farmer, member of the First Presbyterian Church, Wapello, and 50-year Mason. Harry married Barbara Anita Murray on December 24, 1943. She died May 30, 1980. They were the parents of two sons, Murray (Janet) and Craig (Debbie).

Celebrating his memory are: Murray Jordan, Columbus Junction and Craig Jordan, Allison Park, Pennsylvania; grandchildren: Kimberly (Matt) Davis, West Des Moines; Scott (Melissa) Jordan, Morning Sun; Jessica Jordan, Chicago, Illinois; Lucas Jordan, Letts; Kristen (Brad) Flachsbart, Bloomington, Illinois; and Jeff Jordan, Des Moines; great-grandchildren: Grace and Henry Flachsbart, Bloomington, Illinois; Savannah Davis, West Des Moines; sisters: Margie (Harlan) Keltner, Columbus Junction; Lorna McLean, Marion; and many nieces and nephews.

His parents, sister, Madeline, an infant brother, and wife, Barbara preceded him in death.

Visitation was held from 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday, July 13th, with Masonic rites at 6 p.m. at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home in Wapello. Interment will be Wednesday, July 14th, at 10 a.m. for immediate family at Winfield-Scott Township Cemetery, Winfield. There will be no funeral service.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Presbyterian Church, Wapello.
