Dennis E. Dilts, 62, passed away on Sunday, September 19, 2010 at the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics. Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 at 2:00 P.M. at Greenwood Cemetery. Visitation for Dennis will be held on Wednesday, September 22, 2010 from 1:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. at the Geo. M. Wittich-Lewis Home for Funeral and Cremation Services. Dennis Eugene Dilts was born on January 26, 1948, in Muscatine, the son of Richard Dilts and Dorothy Villagrana (Conaway) in Muscatine. On October 9, 1988, he was united in marriage to Jenny Brendel in Muscatine. They later divorced, but remained good friends. Dennis loved working on cars and watching Jeopardy. For many years Dennis worked in the family business at El Charro. He was a big Cubs, Vikings, and Hawkeye fan. Everybody loved him for his dry sense of humor. Dennis never met a stranger.

Dennis will be deeply missed by his mother and step-father; Dorothy Villagrana and Mike of Conesville; his children; Richard Wayne Dilts and his fiancée, Christine Gibson-Ebbeson and Madisson Jane Dilts; both of Muscatine; his step-mother, Marie Dilts; his sisters; Becky Martinez and her husband, Raul of Conesville, Debbie Boardman and her husband, John of Wilton, Rhonda Zuniga of Columbus Junction, and Sonia Briones and her husband, Saul of Mission, TX; his brother; Miguel Villagrana and his wife, Jessica of Solon; a good friend; Jim Canada of Muscatine; many aunts and uncles and nieces and nephews.

Dennis was preceded in death by his father, Richard Dilts, his maternal and paternal grandparents, step-grandparents and his best friend, Lloyd Shoppa.
