Patrick Dean Brockett, 58, of Maquoketa, Iowa, died Saturday, April 3, 2010, at Crestridge, Inc. Care Center in Maquoketa.
Graveside services will be Thursday, April 8, 2010, at 1:00 p.m. at the Letts Cemetery. Pastor Bruce McNeely will officiate. After the committal there will be a time of refreshments and fellowship for friends and family at Cathy’s home in Atalissa. There will be no visitation.

Patrick’s request for cremation was officiated by the Life Transition and Cremation Center in Muscatine. A memorial has been established at the funeral home in Patrick’s name. Online condolences may be left to the family at www.lewisfuneralhomes.com.

Patrick was born April 16, 1951, in Muscatine, Iowa, the son of Richard W. Brockett and Wynnonia E. Blake. He loved listening to music, fishing and animals, especially his dogs.

He is survived by two sisters, Cathy Bewley and her husband, Mike of Atalissa and Jewell Vogt and her fiancé Tim, of Letts, a half brother, Richard Brockett and his wife, Sue of Florida, several half and step brothers and sisters and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents.
