Evelyn A. Vanselow, 92 of Bolingbrook, Illinois passed away April 23, 2010.

Graveside services will be held Saturday, May 22, 2010 at 1:30 p.m. at the Columbus City Cemetery with Pastor Al Coffin officiating.

Evelyn was born June 4, 1917 in what Cheer, Iowa she was the daughter of Melvin Dicks and Gladys Chapman Dicks. She graduated from Gibson High School in Gibson, Iowa. She lived most of her life in the Chicago area. She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of Dupage, Illinois, serving as a Deacon.

Surviving is one daughter, Bonnie Thompson, two granddaughters; Ericka Thompson and Dana (Chris) Krjawski, three great-grandsons Michael Russo, Jacob and Corey Krjawski, two sisters Betty Knupp, Columbus Junction, Iowa; Laverta (Delmore) Evans, Columbus City, Iowa; two brothers Doren Dicks, Bettendorf, Iowa; Robert (Jean) Dicks, Abilene Texas a Sister-in-law Elaine Dicks of Muscatine, Iowa and several nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her husband Jack, her parents, one sister Wilma Masonholder, one brother Eugene Dicks and one nephew David L. Evans.
