Edgar E. Bush, age 95 of Mt. Pleasant, died Sunday May 30, 2010 at Arbor Court. The son of Earl and Mary (Abel) Bush, he was born September 18, 1914 at Ollie, Iowa. On September 11, 1937 he married Louesa Brent at Columbus Junction. He was a graduate of the Columbus Junction High School. He served in the US Army during W.W. II. He was a retired farmer and of the Methodist Faith. He served as Farm Bureau President in Perry County, Arkansas; was past president of the fair board, secretary of the soil conservation board, and secretary of the Farmers Coop, all of Perry, Arkansas; he was a lifetime member of the Winfield V.F.W. and a lifetime member of the National D.A.V.; he was a member of the Morning Sun American Legion.

Survivors include: his wife, of Mt. Pleasant; one daughter, Erma McDonald of Mt. Pleasant; one grandson and three great-grandchildren; one sister, Vera Wilson of Muscatine;

He was preceded in death by his parents, two sisters, and two brothers.

Friends called on Thursday from 12:30-1:30 p.m. at the Honts Funeral Home in Winfield. A graveside service was held at 2:00 p.m., Thursday at the Columbus City Cemetery, with graveside military rites.

A memorial has been established for the Winfield V.F.W.
