Charlotte Knutson, 82, of Sun City Center, Florida, passed away after a short illness on Thursday January 21, 2010, at South Bay Hospital, Sun City Center, Florida.

She was born Charlotte Teresa Mary Pombert to Herman and Nora (Reno) Pombert on September
19, 1927, in Kankakee, Illinois.

Charlotte married Graydon Trescott Knutson on April 23, 1953, in Kankakee, Illinois. Together
they enjoyed Dixieland jazz music and dancing the jitterbug, Charlotte herself enjoyed playing bridge.
She retired with her husband to Florida in 1981, from Columbus Junction, Iowa, where she worked
as a social worker for Louisa County and raised their family. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Wapello, Iowa and later Faith Lutheran Church in Parrish, Florida.

Charlotte is dearly remembered by many friends and her children: Glenn of Pueblo West, Colorado; Dianne (Mike) Hardy of Tampa, Florida; and Dixie (Skip) Seitz of Columbus Junction, Iowa; her grandchildren: Kelly (Jeremy) Smith of Washington, Iowa; Brandi (Bryan) Snyder of Fruitland, Iowa; Kristy (Richard) Mathis; Kim Knutson; Tracy Knutson, all of Pueblo, Colorado; and Michelle Hardy of Tampa, Florida; and her great-grandchildren: Dylan Trescott Smith; Gavin William Smith; and Emerson Charlotte Smith, all of Washington, Iowa.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her husband, Graydon in 1987; sister, Henrietta Johnson, Palmetto, Florida; and brother, Adlord Pombert, Kankakee, Illinois.

A memorial was held on January 24, 2010, at Faith Lutheran Church in Parrish, Florida. Charlotte will rest beside her husband at Mansion Memorial Park in Ellenton, Florida.
