Jacine E. Edwards

Jacine E. Edwards, 66, Morning Sun, died Friday evening, May 16, 2003, at her home. She was born May 25 1936 at Davenport, Iowa.

She gradued from United Township High School at East Moline, Ill. On September 9, 1956 she married Paul Raymond “Pook” Edwards in Des Moines County, Iowa.

She was a member of the United Methodist Church in Morning Sun and had been the library director for many years in the Morning Sun Public Library. She enjoyed children, especially her own, by following their participation through various sports activities. She had been active for many years with the Scouts and had organized the beginnings of the flag football program for Morning Sun.

Survivors include her husband; a daughter, Kelly Howard of Crawfordsville; three sons, Kevin Edwards of Morning Sun, Kris Edwards and Klay Edwards, both of Winfield; seven grandchildren, and a sister, Janice Pobuda of Morning Sun.

A private graveside service will be held at the Elmwood Cemetery in Morning Sun. No other visitation is planned.

The Hagele and Honts Funeral Home in Morning Sun is providing the care and arrangements for Jacine Edwards.
