Mrs. Mable Davis Funeral Rites

Mrs. Mable Davis of Route 3, Columbus Junction, died Sunday, January 29, 1978, at Colonial Manor in Columbus Junction, at the age of 88 years, 4 months, and 3 days.

She was born September 26, 1889 in Louisa County, a daughter of Albia and Margaret Oats McBride.

She married Humphrey Davis, December 6, 1913 at Cotter, Iowa. He passed away November 22, 1932.

Her mother, father and one brother preceded her in death.

She was a member of the Cotter United Presbyterian Church.

She is survived by one son, John Harold Davis; and two daughters, Martha Thode and Mary Davis of Davenport, Iowa; 6 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren.

Funeral services were held at 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, January 31, at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home with Rev. Darrel Robertson officiating.
Miss Donna Belle Hughes was organist. Casket bearers were Howard Davis, Hayden Davis, Burdette Davis, Paul McBride, Clyde McBride, and Kenneth Peters. Burial in Cambrian Cemetery.
