ISLAND WOMAN PASSES AWAY
MRS. THEODORE DRAKE, NATIVE OF ISLAND IS DEAD.
Born on Muscatine Island 33 Years Ago - Had Been Ill Seven Months With Operation 3 Months Ago.
Mrs. Theodore Drake, aged thirty-three, and a lifelong resident of Muscatine Island, passed away at her home at about 8:30 o'clock last evening after an illness of about seven months duration. She had undergone an operation for a complication of ailments about three months ago, but even this failed to improve her condition, and death followed.
Allie B. Contriman, only child of I.A. and Mary Contriman, was born on Muscatine Island, July 21, 1883 and lived there during her entire life. On December 27, 1911 she was united in marriage with Theodore Drake, also of the Island. Besides her husband and father, she leaves to survive four aunts. Mrs. A.P. Swanson of Fruitland, Mrs. Flora Kirkpatrick of Santa Rose, Calif., Mrs. Kate Coleman and Mrs. Margaret Collee of Chicago, one uncle, Edward McKinney of Alymen, Ontario, Canada, and six cousins. Her mother died seventeen years ago.
The funeral arrangements have not been made.
