Fern Gunderson
OAKVILLE - Fern Edythe Gunderson, 80, Springfield, Ill., died at 3:30 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 29, at her daughter's home after celebrating her birthday the day before. Mrs. Gunderson, who was born Sept. 28, 1893, in Mt. Ayr, was reared in the Oakville area, the daughter of James and Hattie Jestes Willard.

Mrs. Gunderson owned a tavern in Joliet, Ill. She married Jacob Gunderson, in 1952, there. He died in 1966. Since his death, she lived with her daughter, Carolouise Cramer, Springfield.

Surviving: Three daughters, Mrs. Cramer, Springfield; Mrs. Bernice Bailey, Burlington; Mrs. Beverly Conroy, Joliet; two sons Frank Willard Crase, Seal Beach, Calif., Raymond Clayton Crase, Mazon, Ill.; one sister, Mrs. Minnie Orr and one brother, Ennis Willard, both of Oakville; 16 grandchildren.
Funeral 11 a.m., Tuesday, St. Mary Catholic church, Wapello, Fr. J.M. Pound, Parsons cemetery.
