Mrs. A. K. Finley died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Will Hamilton four miles northwest of Morning Sun, at 2:30 o'clock Monday morning, February 12, the cause of her death being heart failure.

Mrs. A. K. Finley died at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Will Hamilton, four miles northwest of Morning Sun, at 2:30 o'clock Monday morning , February 12, the cause of her death being heart failure.

Sarah F. Davenport was born January 30, 1845, near Mt. Pleasant, Iowa. She was married to A. K. Finley July 12, 1865, at Burlington, Iowa. They came to Morning Sun in 1867. Nine children were born to them, five having preceded the mother in death. She is survived by the husband, A. K. Finley at Burlington, and four daughters, Mrs. Wm Hamilton of Morning Sun; Mrs. Frank Peters of Granview; Mrs. John Drummond of Ft. Madison; Mrs. A. W. McDonald of Aurora, Ill.
Also one sister Mrs. Susan Cramer of Burlington, and one brother Wm. Davenport of Pontice (can't read for sure), Ill.

The funeral services will be held from the M. E. Church, Wednesday, February 14th at 2:30 P.M. conducted by Rev. Geo. Blagg. Interment will be in Elmwood cemetery.
