WAPELLO RESIDENT DIES AFTER SHORT ILLNESS
Mrs. Mary Jane Finley aged 80 years died at her home in south Wapello, at one o'clock Saturday morning following an illness of several weeks' duration. She had been blind for many years.
She was born in Ohio, August 17, 1940, but spent her girlhood days in Galesburg, Ill. There she was married to Thomas Garrett, and from that union one daughter, Mrs.Nelson Williams of Bard, Iowa, survives. Her second marriage was with Samuel Finley, who preceeded her in death. To this union was born six children, five of whom survive. They are: John and Harry Finley, Mrs. Jas. Perkins and Mrs. Warren Boyer, all of Wapello, Ed Finley of Morning Sun.
Funeral services were held from her late home Monday afternoon, conducted by Rev. J. E. Newsom of Morning Sun. Interment was made in Rice cemetery, north of town.
