Waunita Lucille Noble, 66, of Columbus Junction, died after a brief illness Tuesday, Jan. 18, 2005, at University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinic in Iowa City.

Born March 28, 1938, in Moscow, Iowa, she was the daughter of Myril T. and Lucille M. Lane Wiese. On Nov. 2, 1957, she married Donald C. Noble in Muscatine.

Mrs. Noble worked at Thatcher Glass Co. in Muscatine for 9 and 1/2 years and New York Life Insurance Co. in Columbus Junction for 9 and 1/2
years.

She was a 1956 graduate of Muscatine High School. She had been a resident of the Columbus Junction area since 1964. She was a former member of the WIBC for 15 years, bowling at Deaton's Bowl in Columbus Junction. She was of the Methodist faith and was a longtime member of the Iowa Farm Bureau and AARP.

Survivors include her husband; three sons, Michael Noble of Iowa City, Mark Noble of Panhandle, Texas, and Douglas Noble of Columbus Junction; four grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; two brothers, Wade Wiese of Mission, Texas, and Myril Wiese Jr. of West Des Moines; and one sister, Joyce Wiese of Columbus Junction.

She was preceded in death by her parents and one brother.

Visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral home in Columbus Junction.

There will be no memorial service for Mrs. Noble according to her wishes. Burial will be at a later date. A memorial has been established for the American Heart Association.
