Mrs. Mary Werner, who had for over fifty years resided in Iowa and in this vicinity, passed away at her home at 1019 Iowa avenue this morning at 8:40 o'clock. Mrs. Werner had been ailing for several years and for the past six weeks had been bedfast. Death was due to a complication of diseases.

She was born in Pennsylvania on April 20, 1849, and came with her parents to Grandview when but one year old. She had resided at Grandview the whole of her life until four years ago, when the family moved to this city. Mrs. Werner was a member of the Congregational church at Grandview for over forty years and was always a faithful Christian worker.

Two sons and three daughters survive her. They are: Lee and Elbert, of Grandview, and Misses Pearl, Bertha and Ruth, of this city.

No funeral arrangements have been announced.
