Mrs. James Fabin, of Grandview, who came to Muscatine a month ago to care for her sister, Mrs. I.M. Dowell, of 1122 Fulliam avenue, and while here was taken ill of pneumonia passed away at her home yesterday.
About ten days ago Mrs. Fabin was forced by illness which she herself had contracted to give up the work of caring for her sister. On Wednesday of last week Mrs. Dowell was taken to the Hershey hospital and the following day Mrs. Fabin was removed to her Grandview home.
The funeral of Mrs. Fabin was held this afternoon at Grandview.
Mrs. Dowell is still seriously ill and will undergo an operation at Hershey hospital tomorrow, according to reports from the hospital.
Exhaustion due to the unremitting care given her sister is believed to have underminded Mrs. Fabin's health.
