Services for Janet M. Hemphill, 41, of 436 160th Street, Aledo, are 1:30 p.m. Thursday at College Avenue Presbyterian Church, Aledo, where she was a member. The Rev. Barbara H. Cathey will officiate. Burial is in Candor Cemetery in Ohio Grove Township.

Visitation was Wednesday evening at the Reiser-Trimble Funeral Home, Aledo.

Memorials may be made to the Janet Hemphill Memorial Fund.

Mrs. Hemphill died Monday, June 12, 1995 at her residence. The former Janet Marie Christy was born Jan. 23, 1954 in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Glen and Dorothy Mae Proctor Christy. she was a 1972 graduate of L & M High School, Letts, Iowa; and a 1973 graduate of the medical technology program at Hawkeye Technical School, Waterloo, Iowa.

She married Roger Edward Hemphill on Jan. 7, 1985 in Norwood, Illinois.

She was employed as a medical technologist at St. Mary's Hospital, Galesburg, from 1974 to 1976 and again from 1978 to 1995. She worked for a year at a physician's clinic in Denver, Colorado. She was a member of the American Society of Clinical Pathologist.

She greatly enjoyed her family, shopping, camping, sewing, needlepoint, movies, reading, and listening to music.

Survivors include the widower; sons, Kyle Lane, Troy Edward, and Eric David, all at home; her father and step-mother, Glen and Phyllis Christy, West Burlington, Iowa; sisters and Brothers-in-law, Glenda and Duane Schneider, Wapello, Iowa, and Marie Anne and Michael Roth, Prairie City, IL; a brother and sister-in-law, David and Deena Christy, Letts, IA; and a step-brother and step-sister-in-law, Brent and Jan Kight, Columbus Junction, IA.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy Mae Proctor Christy.
