Mrs. T. B. Cross, who was badly injured in a runaway accident Thursday, Oct. 31, died at her home near Grandview last Saturday, November 9th. Mrs. Cross was thrown from a buggy when the horse which she was driving became frightened at the engine on the M.N. & S. track. She fell against the cement curbing, fracturing her skull. One limb was also crushed at the knee joint. She suffered intensely from her injuries and though everything possible was done for her comfort, she passed away Saturday. Beside her husband she leaves to mourn her loss, two sons and two daughters, Ralph, Alvan, Edna and Zena Cross. The girls are well known in Wapello, where they are conducting a milliner store, and they have the sympathy of many friends.

Funeral services were held at the home Monday at 12:30 p.m., and from the Pleasant Bethel church at 2 o'clock. Interment at the Indian Creek cemetery.
