Selma E. Campbell, 92, of Stronghurst, Illinois, died at 6:30 p.m. Thursday, May 26, 1994 in the Wapello Nursing & Care Center, Wapello.

Born December 13, 1901, in Kewanee, Illinois, she was the daughter of Walter and Demma Waddell Bing. She married Clifford D. Campbell on May 16, 1924, in Galesburg, Illinois. He died July 25, 1988.

Mrs. Campbell was a Henderson County resident for nearly 60 years and was a member of the Stronghurst Christian Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Lorna Neuneker of LaGrange, Illinois; and Lois Jane Wanfalt of Wapello; one son, Leland Campbell of LaGrange, Illinois; seven grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by one son, one brother and one sister.

Funeral services were at 1 p.m. Sunday, May 30, at the Stronghurst Christian Church with Charles Coonce officiating. Burial was in Stronghurst Cemetery.

A memorial has been established for Stronghurst Christian Church.
