Paul Stephen Martin, 64, Wapello, died today at the Burlington Medical Center, Burlington.

Services will be Saturday at 2 p.m. at the Dudgeon-McCulley Funeral Home, Wapello. The Rev. George Yetter will officiate. The family will meet with friends Friday from 7 to 8:30 p.m. at the funeral home where a memorial has been established. Burial will be in the Wapello Cemetery.

Mr. Martin was born Sept. 4, 1920 at Morning Sun, a son of William W. and Sylvia Fern Hill Martin. On Feb. 2, 1951, he married Paula Walsinger at Wapello. He was an army veteran of World War II, a charter member of American Legion Post 643, Winfield, the V.F.W. Post 5143, Lodge No. 235 A.F.& A.M., Winfield and the Louisa County Farm Bureau. He had retired from farming in the Morning Sun and Winfield areas. He had also been employed at Rath Packing Plant in Columbus Junction from 1966-78.

Survivors include his wife; one son, Barry Martin, Des Moines; one brother, James Martin, Burlington; one sister, Lois Martin, Irvine, Calif. His parents and one sister preceded him in death.
