Marsha A. Gilleland, 38, of 2903 Broadlawn, Muscatine, died Sunday, Oct. 19, 1997, at Muscatine General Hospital.

Services for Mrs. Gilleland were at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 22 at the Ralph J. Wittich-Riley-Freers Funeral Home. Reverend Jim Rozendaal of the Spangler Chapel United Methodist Church officiated. Burial was in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation was Tuesday at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to the Marcia Gilleland Memorial Fund.

Marsha Gilleland was born on February 17, 1959, in Muscatine, Iowa, the daughter of Robert and Patricia Courtney Slater. She married Randy Gilleland on May 23, 1987, in Muscatine. Iowa.

She worked at Plamor Lanes at the front desk.

Survivors include her husband Randy, of Muscatine, one son, Chad Bieri of Muscatine, her father Robert Slater of Mediapolis, two brothers, Greg Slater and Rick Slater, both of Grandview, two sisters, Carla Timmerman and Michelle Slater, both of Wapello, her grandmother, Agnes Slater of Wapello, six nephews and two nieces.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Patricia, in 1982, and her maternal grandparents and paternal grandfather.
