Loretta L. York, 61, of 11001/2 S. 10th St., died at 7:34 p.m. Thursday, Dec. 28, 1989, at University Hospitals, Iowa City.

Born Jan. 18, 1928, at Muscatine, she was the daughter of Bert Lewis and Ruth Ann Fowler Huntington. She married Royal William York Sep. 20, 1953, in Burlington. He died Dec. 15, 1974.

Mrs. York was a homemaker and of the Baptist faith.

She is survived by two daughters, Lori York, Macomb, Ill., and Doloris York, Burlington; a son, Harold York, Burlington; two brothers, Lester Huntington, West Burlington, and Lenard Huntington, Casa Grande, Ariz; one sister, Lela Robertson, Burlington; 10 nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends from 7 to 8:30 p.m. Tuesday at Prugh's Chapel.

The funeral for Mrs. York will be at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday at Prugh's Chapel with Pastor Paul Patterson officiating. Burial will be in Burlington Memorial Park Cemetery.

A memorial has been established.
