Joseph L. Meyertholen, 81, of 1526 Grove, died in Klein Hospital, Friday, Dec. 14, 1984.

Meyertholen was born Oct. 6, 1903 in West Point to Gerhard and Sophia Kachle Meyertholen. He married Geneva Summers, Sept, 21, 1922 in Joplin, Mo.

He was a foreman in Ventura County, Calif. He was a World War II veteran, serving in the Coast Guard.

Surviving: Sisters Lorena and Loretta Meyertholen, Burlington.

Funeral: 1 p.m. Monday, Lunning Chapel; Aspen Grove Cemetery. Friends may call at the Chapel on Sunday.
