Funeral services for 65 year old John R. Dilts of Columbus Junction, Iowa were held on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at the Stacy-Lewis Funeral Home, Columbus Junction, Iowa.

John died on Saturday, May 14, 1994 at the Trinity Medical Center, Moline, Illinois. A memorial has been established for the family. Burial was in the Columbus City Cemetery.

John Raymond Dilts was born September, 1928 in Wapello, Iowa to James and Florence Maude Court Dilts. John married Sue Diveney June 23, 1955 in Columbus Junction, Iowa.

John was a Korean War Veteran serving in the Navy. John was a 20 year employee of Rath Packing, Columbus Junction. After the plant closed John worked in the area and has last employment was with IBF Columbus Junction. John retired in 1990.

Survivors include: his wife; Sue, Columbus Junction, Iowa. Four sons, James, Rock Island, Illinois, Douglas, Frisco, Texas, Daniel, Chattanooga, Tennessee and Eddie of Nashville, Tennessee. There are eight grandchildren, Also surviving is a brother, Richard Dilts, of Burlington and five sisters, Mrs. Bill (Mary) Griffin, Mrs. Marvin (Helen) Hobbs and Mrs. Ray (Betty) Golden all of Morning Sun, Ms. Shirley Cupps, Columbus City and Mrs. Richard (Elsie) Stewart, Wapello. John was preceded in death by his parents and a brother.
