Mrs. Fern Martin, 79, 803 Summer St., died Thursday, Feb. 18, 1970 in Memorial Hospital.

She was born June 4, 1891 in Louisa County, the daughter of Julin J. and Mary Langston Hill. She married William Martin on Nov. 25, 1915 in Louisa County. she was a member of the First United Methodist Church, WSCS, Senior Citizens, DAR and the Guild of First Methodist church.

Survivors: Two sons, James, Burlington and Paul, Winfield; two daughters, Mrs. Wesley Johnston, Fairfield and Lois Martin, Fullerton, Calif.; one grandson.

Funeral: Sunday 2 p.m. at Elliott-Lunning Chapel, Dr. G. Dumpster Yinger, Elmwood Cemetery in Morning Sun.
